Zappware completes successful iDTV production for Temptation Island

Zappware, the Belgian one-stop provider for interactive digital television solutions, provided both the creative and technological support for the last series of shows for Temptation Island.

For Telenet viewers, this was the first opportunity to interact with their favourite TV programme. During each episode of Temptation Island, various information screens provided additional background information via a 'call to action'. At regular intervals, viewers were given access to background information about the contestants and just before each commercial break and at the end of each episode, they were invited to take part in a relationship test, the results of which they could view after the end of the programme.

"Zappware again created a successful iDTV production with the last episode of Temptation Island," said Filip Staes, iDTV Producer at Zappware."Rising demand for more involvement in TV programmes is now clearly the norm, and that includes on the part of advertisers. And because viewers are given the opportunity to watch interactively during the ad break, their attention does not wane and zapping is reduced significantly."

Zappware has already handled interactive TV productions for "Eén-tegen-honderd", "Expeditie Robinson" and "Peking Express".
