Zappware - Partner in the creation of the VLAM artisanal bakeries commercial
30/01/2007

Another public utility commercial goes interactive.

The organisation for the promotion of Flemish products (VLAM) decided to go for a second interactive TV commercial. This time the commercial promotes the artisanal bakeries. Zappware was asked to add an interactive application. Earlier the Belgian one-stop solution provider of interactive digital television solutions contributed to the interactive milk campaign (2006).

The VLAM commercial promotes the artisanal bakeries as the place to be for freshly baked bread and cakes. Whoever pushes the red button during the 25 seconds commercial, enters a competition to win a free Valentine breakfast basket. The winners indicates their favorite artisanal bakeries and subsequently receive a printed coupon at home. When validating the coupon in the selected shop, they get acquainted with the bakery's complete offer.

The Valentine campaign is a concept of the advertising agency Duval Guillaume Brussels putting the artisanal bakeries and their quality products in the spotlights. The interactive layer aims at making people visit the artisanal bakery. Valentine's day is a wonderful excuse to motivate people to shop at the artisanal bakery to surprise their loved ones. Who does not like to wake up to the smell of freshly baked croissants?

Filip Staes, iDTV Producer Zappware:

"The interactive TV commercial promoting the artisanal bakeries shows clearly the added value of interactive television for a sensibilisation campaign. Whoever presses the red button, does this voluntarily and is eager to read the message behind it. It is obvious that those viewers will certainly have understood the message. The bonus of this campaign is that the winners will eventually visit the shop to collect their prizes."

The other partners taking part in producing this interactive public utility message include VAR, VRT, Universal Media, Duval Guillaume Brussels and Telenet.
