Zappware launches second digital teletext service

S.televisie goes interactive with a digital teletext service built by Zappware.

S.televisie, one of the youngest digital theme channels in the Flemish media landscape, launches a digital teletext service in close cooperation with cable operator Telenet and Zappware, the Belgian one-stop solution provider for iDTV solutions.

S.televisie is a Flemish digital broadcaster which breaks news on 'showbizz, media and people': Flemish celebrities, glamour and glitter flashes from the Flemish and the foreign media scenery and so much more.. The young broadcaster is already known by 1.2 million Flemish viewers and succeeds in clinging 300,000 viewers to its screen.

When pressing the red button on the remote control, digital Telenet viewers watching S.televisie, can now also consult its digital teletext service, dubbed 'S.EXPRESS'. The latest news on Flemish and international celebrities is available on a 24-hour basis and presented in the contemporary flashy layout which is typical of S.televisie.

A user-friendly interface allows viewers to retreive news in an intuitive way using the remote control. S.televisie can manage the content themselves using Zappware's iView portal allowing quick disclosure of new content whether it concerns static information or interactive quizzes / direct marketing. The present digital teletext service is the first step of many which will include even more innovative interactive services soon to follow. Zappware is thus promoting its digital teletext service as an overall concept including attractive content for viewers, advertisers and broadcasters alltogether.
