Broadcaster VT4's reality show 'The Block' now also interactive

Zappware, the Belgian one-stop solution provider for iDTV on multiple TV platforms, have developed another interactive service for ProsiebenSat1./SBS broadcaster VT4 based on their off-the-shelf voting iFormat.

After Miss Belgium and Can You Duet it is now The Block's turn to become interactive. The Block is one of the most popular reality shows of broadcaster VT4. In the show couples compete to renovate a building into a set of trendy lofts with a limited budget. It is for the first time in the history of The Block that viewers, together with a professional jury, decide who the winners will be. Viewers can vote by SMS and via the internet. Telenet digital viewers can also express their votes by simply pressing red on the remote control.

The voting service is an end-to-end solution based on Zappware's proprietor iView Platform. This end-to-end solution allows broadcaster VT4 not only to update the content of the service in-house but also to easily consult the aggregated results of all votes, including those votes that come from different channels (iDTV/SMS/internet).
