Zappware delivers digital TV service to radio station

Flemish radio station now with slideshow on Digital TV

Zappware, the Belgian one-stop solution provider for interactive Digital TV (iDTV) on multiple TV platforms, were tapped by TOPradio, a Flemish non-stop radio station, to realise a digital TV service allowing TOPradio to manage their own slideshow on television.

The digital TV service for TOPradio is based on Zappware's new 'Digital TV Slideshow' format and is available on the digital TV platform of Belgian cable operator Telenet.

It has been a while already that Topradio can be listened to in digital quality on Telenet Digital TV (canal 913 in Flanders and canal 933 in Brussels). Thanks to Zappware's 'Digital TV slideshow' the black empty TV screen accompanying the radio's sound now belongs to the past. From now on the viewer sees a slideshow with alternating high-quality images. The radio station determines itself the type of the images, the number of images, and also, the speed of alternation. In order to do so, the radio station has web-based access to iView Portal, which is Zappware's own production and management platform.
