TODAY'S YOUTH
"Today's Youth", a broadcaster VT4 (ProSiebenSat.1) reality programme, shows today's students experiencing the iron discipline of a secondary school in the fifties. The challenge was to encourage the viewer to stay tuned in to the programme not only during each episode but also over all seven episodes. The iDTV concept combines impulse-response, a TV site and a-collect-as-many-Mentos-points-as-possible contest. The combination of different iDTV applications for one show resulted in a continuous promotion of the show, additional advertising revenues and an increased engagement keeping viewers from changing channels and missing out on TV commercials or the next episodes.
